PATAGONIA, ARGENTINA

Patagonia. This word represents the meaning of nature and adventure like not many others.

The mystic area of Patagonia stretches over the southern end of South America governed by Chile and Argentina.

The landscape includes the high mountains of the southern tip of the Andes, open steppes, fjords, rivers, lakes and deserted volcanic plains. You can find rainforests, glaciers as well as wild beaches on the Atlantic and Pacific side of the South American continent.

The rustic landscape is a perfect habitat for wild horses, pumas and guanacos, the wild relative of the alpaca lama. There are foxes and smaller wild cats and birds like the mighty condor and the Patagonian flamingo.

Whales, penguins and sea lions are very common sights on the coast line.

Our salmon fishing trips will lead you to the Argentinian side of Patagonia with the starting point in El Calafate in the Santa Cruz Province. All Argentina incoming international flights connect in Buenos Aires to a three and a half hours flight to Calafate. From there our trip will continue by land rovers and jeeps.

During our thirteen day exclusive Salmon fishing trip we will fish for giant Chinook salmon and brown trout in Rio Guanaco, about 130 km from Calafate. For the second part of our trip we travel to the Rio des las Vueltas which is about 220 km from Calafate. Here we also find Chinook salmon and brown trout. Near Rio Guanaco we do have exclusive access to a private lagoon for exceptional trout fishing, drifting in a rowing boat casting spinners and small lures for brown- and rainbow trout up to eight pounds.

Accommodation on both rivers are local lodges custom tailored for fishing groups. After fishing Rio des las Vueltas we head to the private El Roble lodge for unforgettable trout fishing on private lands with fishing spots within walking distance of lodge.

For the trout lover we offer our eleven day trout abundance package fishing the world famous Jurassic lake for rainbow trout up to twenty five pounds and then head for more trout fishing at the private El Roble lodge and its exclusive waters.

El Calafate is the gateway to the Los Glaciares National Park, home of the mighty Perito Moreno Glacier, one of Patagonia´s most famous tourist attractions and a must see. A visit to the glacier followed by a full farewell dinner and drinks is included at the end of all our Patagonia trips.
